Sorry it doesn't meet your expectations! At least you took the time to craft a professional response.

Unlike many Companies, we put all these posts online to try and help. In this case, it is a guide for migrating to a new box rather than installing so the web.config can move across to the new server without changing a great deal. If you want to know how to install (including Encryption key settings) this is fully documented in the ASPDotNetStorefront manual available online.

If the database is on the same server though, you are right that the connection string should change and I've updated the post to reflect this.
All the best

Really? Steps for migrating? This is more like a checklist of what to have in order BEFORE you begin your steps. There is no mention of connection strings for the databases or ecryption keys. This page will help NO ONE. Thanks for nothing.

Hi Olga,

It very much depends on the size of your store, the amount of traffic you expect and whether you want to spend the extra to split the web server and database.

Having said that ASPDNSF seems to run well on dedicated servers from www.fastHosts.co.uk and www.peer1hosting.co.uk

Also try and get a server with at least 4Gb RAM if you are running everything (e.g. database, website, mail etc) on the same box.
